The Panaceutics founders and executive team bring extensive experience in food and nutrition, pharmaceutical science, automation and robotics, and entrepreneurial enterprise.
Adam is a veteran biotechnology executive with over 28 years experience in the life sciences innovation overseeing operations, business development, public affairs and global sustainability while serving as President-Americas for Novozymes. While facilitating the launch of new technology into more than 30 industries including the food and beverage market, Adam has been a strong advocate for the potential of nature’s solutions in meeting the need for better lives and sustainable global development. He previously served as the national chair of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization’s Industrial and Environmental section, among other board leadership roles. Adam has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Formerly Senior Director at iRobot Corp, and founder of five technology companies with three successful exits and two IPOs, Edison is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Panaceutics Nutrition. He holds 25+ patents and has developed and installed high-speed automation for dozens of Fortune 500 companies. Federal level patent expert witness trial experience. Edison was a Morehead Scholar at UNC, received his MBA from Duke, and studied AI at Oxford University.
Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer
Co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Panaceutics, Staton uses his 25 years of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical research to help create products for an individual’s health and wellness needs. Staton holds a BS in Biochemistry, MS in Gerontology, and an MBA, and has authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers. As a molecular pharmacologist at GlaxoSmithKline, Staton developed both a broad technical expertise and therapeutic expertise while leading multiple drug discovery projects. In addition, Staton spent five years as Director of the Office of Innovation Commercialization at UNC-Greensboro managing and licensing intellectual property, and negotiating complex inter-institutional agreements.
Vice President of Finance and Treasurer
As Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, Mark utilizes his 30+ years of business experience in a variety of senior management roles to help guide the company in relation to its financial and business functions, contract negotiation and as its benefits and human resource functions. Mark is also president and co-founder of RTP Capital Associates, an angel investor network and a director of the philanthropic UAI Foundation. He holds a BA from the University of Rochester and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and also has earned the Certified Financial Planner designation.

Andy Gunn is CEO of StateraOne in Raleigh, NC and a seasoned executive with over 30 years in the life sciences industry. He is skilled in Clinical Research, Clinical Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs (pre and post), Real World Evidence (RWE), GxP, Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Quality Control, and Clinical Microbiology. Andy has deep credibility and established relationships with FDA, EMA, MHRA, MHLW, TGA, JCAHO, CAP and other international health authorities. He has a history of building strong organizations focused on ethical behavior, hard work, and delivering results. Andy has completed graduate work in Molecular Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine, and has a BS degree in Pre-Medicine/Zoology from North Carolina State University.
